Hyangiram Hermitage
A hermitage set into a forested rock peak above the sea, best known for its sunrise view.
Founded in 644, Hyangiram sits on the southern tip of Dolsan Island where the rock splits into narrow passages you squeeze through to reach the halls. The name means 'hermitage facing the sun', and the terrace above the main hall is one of the country's best-known sunrise spots on New Year's morning.
